Bestway Cement Ltd of Pakistan has announced holding of extraordinary general meeting of the company on 5 December 2019 to elect eight directors for the next term of three years.   The new eight member’s team of directors would replace retiring directors namely, Mohammed Anwar Pervez, Muhammad Irfan Anwar Sheikh, Muhammed Younus Sheikh, Haider Zameer Choudhrey, Zameer Mohammed Choudhrey, Dawood Pervez, Njma Naheed Pirzada and Nazib Nazir.

Bestway Cement Ltd (BCL) has announced its financial results for the year ended 30 June 2019 on 8 August by declaring of net profit of PKR10.09bn (US$63m), amounting to a fall of 23.3 per cent YoY, as compared to PKR13.15bn in the same period last year. Bestway Cement's Farooqia plant completes 6000tpd expansion project

Bestway Cement Ltd has completed the installation of its Farooqia plant brownfield expansion project, in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. The expansion also includes a 9MW waste heat recovery power plant. The eight brownfield cement projects with a total capacity of 18.8Mta are at various stages of completion and scheduled to be commissioned between June 2019 and June 2020 at an estimated cost of over PKR159bn (US$1.37bn) in Pakistan, according to a research house report. Bestway Cement Co and Pakistan Railways have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for transporting from Sindh to Punjab. Under the MoU coal would be transported from Port Qasim and Bin Qasim Railway Station to Ushman Khattar and Pind Dadan Khan Railway Station.
